Jennifer Garner‘s relationship with businessman John Miller is reportedly facing a fresh strain as Ben Affleck continues to remain a prominent presence in her life following their divorce.
Miller has reportedly grown increasingly frustrated with the close bond Garner and Affleck continue to share, believing clearer boundaries are needed.

The Oscar-winner and the “13 Going on 30 ” star tied the knot in 2005 and quickly became one of Hollywood’s favourite couples. The duo had three children before announcing their separation in 2018. The long divorce battle reportedly led to a severe hit to Garner’s career.
Neither Affleck nor Garner publicly cited a single reason for the split. They consistently emphasized their commitment to co-parenting, although Affleck has since spoken openly about his struggles with alcohol addiction and acknowledged that the breakdown of the marriage was one of the biggest regrets of his life.
According to RadarOnline, Miller is getting increasingly frustrated with the dependence Affleck still has on his ex-wife, including Garner being a strong source of support during the Daredevil actor’s fraught relationship with going to rehab. Commenting on the codependent relationship, a source said at that time, “What Jen ultimately cares about is his sobriety and whether she can rely on him to co-parent.”
Garner had also stood by Affleck during his two-year marriage to Jennifer Lopez, which ended in a divorce in early 2025. The challenging period led many to worry that Garner’s loyalty to Affleck may ruin her relationship with Miller. “He’s trying to deal with Ben and Jen’s relationship by mostly staying quiet, but it’s very hard to do that,” said a source.
Garner has been in an on-and-off relationship with businessman Miller since 2018, shortly after her divorce from Ben Affleck was finalized.
