Kanye West turned his birthday into a luxury spectacle at one of France’s most famous landmarks. The rapper reportedly spent a huge amount on the celebration, with Bianca Censori by his side. The gathering also included a carefully styled theme with guests dressed for the occasion.
Kanye West reportedly spent a massive six-figure sum on birthday party
West reportedly shelled out nearly $400,000 for the masquerade-themed gathering at the Château de Versailles, according to a photo agency report. He marked his 49th birthday on June 8, and the party played out over the weekend with Bianca Censori and a crowd of friends. After the palace celebration, the group kept the night going at the nearby Airelles luxury hotel (via Page Six).
West showed up in head-to-toe black, including a face covering, jacket, leather pants, boots, and gloves. Censori wore a cream satin bodysuit with corset detailing, a matching skirt, and a feathered headpiece. Some guests followed the same style, while others swapped the usual masquerade masks for animal faces.
Censori had already posted birthday wishes earlier in the month. On Instagram Stories, she shared photos and a clip of West singing with a friend, writing, “Happy birthday @ye. I love you more than life,” and calling him her “ride or die 4ever” in another post. The couple also spent part of the birthday weekend at Ciel Bleu, a French restaurant in Amsterdam, where they were seen leaving together.
West exchanged vows with Bianca Censori in December 2022, shortly after closing the chapter on his divorce from Kim Kardashian. He shares four kids, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, with Kardashian after their split in 2021, ending a seven-year marriage.
West stands out as one of the most powerful and talked-about names in modern music. He built his legacy with landmark albums like Graduation and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, shaping the sound of a whole generation. However, he has often spark controversy with his views on politics and culture, among other things.
