On June 27, A$AP Rocky performed at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, as part of his Don’t Be Dumb tour. His 2-year-old son, Riot Rose, and his partner, Rihanna, supported the rapper from the audience. In a viral social media video, the singer gave a shoutout to the little boy while onstage. “Riot Rose, hey son,” he said into the mic. “Hey, buddy. Daddy loves you, son.”
While all eyes turned to Riot, whom Rihanna was holding in her arms, he looked up at his father in awe despite having noise-cancelling headphones on. Upon being prompted by his mother, the little one gave a small wave to his father. The songstress was also filming the wholesome moment alongside the fans.
Later, Riot joined his father backstage. In a video shared on social media, the little one sat on Rocky’s shoulders while he greeted friends and colleagues. Another video showed Riot giving a first bump to the radio producer Big Boy.
Earlier this month, during an interview with VIBE, the Praise the Lord rapper reflected on what fatherhood looks like for him. “Being emotionally present, emotionally available, receptive, still endearing, but not only that, loving. That’s easy. That’s me all day. That’s just me,” he said. He also revealed that even after the birth of their first child, the uncertainty never went away when they welcomed their second and third children.
