Jerry O’Connell shared a candid detail about his wife, Rebecca Romijn. The Jerry Maguire actor revealed on a podcast that Romijn sometimes smells a little “funky” because of the natural deodorant she uses.

On the June 29 episode of the Thanks Dad with Ego Nwodim podcast, the 52-year-old said he meant no offense to the roll-on deodorant industry but believes it doesn’t work as well as spray deodorant. He also shared a humorous detail about his wife’s deodorant, saying, as per OK! Magazine, “Well, I have to tell you, my wife, Rebecca Romijn, rubs crystals under her arms. And I’m here to tell everyone, it doesn’t work. The crystals under the arms [don’t] work.”
“Now I don’t mind the way my wife — it doesn’t offend me. I actually, ah — this is gonna get a little dirty — I kind of like it when I can smell my wife’s body odor,” O’Connell continued. He further said, “It’s kind of like, yea — she’s alive, we’re alive, we’re living. It’s, like, a little kicking and, like, it’s a little funky town.”
The Star Trek actress and The Talk co-host, who share twin daughters, Dolly and Charlie, married in July 2007, following Romijn’s 2005 divorce from John Stamos after seven years of marriage, Entertainment Weekly reports.
O’Connell, who met Romijn at a Maxim Hot 100 bash in 2004, told People in 2017, “When you meet the one, you just know. It just happens. It happened pretty immediately. It happened immediately.”
He recalled spending most of the day with Romijn and one of her friends before the group went out to dinner one evening. O’Connell said it wasn’t a date, but one of her friends later encouraged him to get her phone number, suggesting she wanted to hear from him. He said he took the number and called her after returning to Los Angeles from the trip to Las Vegas. The actor said, “We went out. My wife was right. We had a sleepover, and I never left. It was great.”
