Rumer Willis‘ contentious custody battle with ex-partner Derek Richard Thomas has taken another dramatic turn, with the musician accusing the actress of exploiting their two-year-old daughter, Louetta, in a commercial “not appropriate” for a child.
Thomas made the allegations in a new court filing, the latest in an ongoing legal dispute over custody and parenting arrangements.

RadarOnline reports that Thomas claimed Willis featured Louetta in a paid advertisement for PlantPaper, a plant-based toilet paper brand, despite his written objections. Thomas has argued that his daughter Louetta’s appearance in the advert used adult sexual humour, which was inappropriate for the two-year-old.
He states in the court filing, “On Feb. 22, 2026, I sent [Rumer] a written objection to Louetta’s appearance in paid commercial advertising, noting a specific ad which contained adult sexual humor that was not appropriate context for a two-year-old.”
The disputed PlantPaper advertisement features Willis, dressed as a polar bear, with Louetta sitting on her lap as they promote the plant-based, toxin-free toilet paper. The commercial opens with Willis saying, “I want to talk to you about anal…” before pausing and adding, “health.” Louetta then says, “They don’t use bleach,” prompting Willis to reply, “That’s right, Lou… and it’s lab-tested free of PFAS [chemicals],” before the toddler asks, “Mama, did you poop in the woods?” Willis also tells viewers the toilet paper costs “only about $15 more per year.”
Thomas’s filing also references Demi Moore, alleging that she took Louetta away without informing him. Separately, Moore has filed her own declaration in the custody dispute, accusing Thomas of controlling and manipulative behavior and of putting his own needs ahead of Willis and their daughter. Thomas has denied those allegations.
