A royal expert recently accused Prince Harry of trying to “villainize” King Charles. The allegation comes as fresh questions swirl around the Duke of Sussex’s latest visit to the UK. Harry has travelled to Britain for the Invictus Games countdown, but the expert claims the confusion surrounding his family’s travel plans was far from accidental. In fact, the commentator alleges it was part of a wider strategy to shape public perception of the King.
Prince Harry plotting against King Charles, claims expert
Prince Harry arrived in the UK this week to mark the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham. While the visit is centered around the sporting event, much of the attention has shifted to the circumstances surrounding his trip.
First, there were conflicting reports over whether Meghan Markle and the couple’s children would accompany him. Later, Harry’s spokesperson confirmed that the duke would travel alone after he was unable to secure taxpayer-funded security for his family. That development has now become the focus of fresh criticism.
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield has alleged that the uncertainty surrounding the visit was carefully managed from the start. Speaking to TalkTV, she claimed the situation appeared to be “a painfully orchestrated PR stunt” (via The Daily Express).
Schofield further alleged that she never expected Markle or the children to travel. Instead, she claimed the security issue would ultimately be used to support a broader narrative. “It was all to yet again villainize his father,” the commentator said. According to Schofield, the message Harry was allegedly trying to send was, “Look at my dad not taking care of us and not making my family feel safe in the UK.”
Meanwhile, questions also emerged over where Harry would stay during the visit. According to sources, Buckingham Palace had initially offered accommodation at a royal residence. It is speculated Harry first declined the invitation before later asking to stay on his own. However, by that point, the offer had reportedly been withdrawn.
Reports suggested the necessary staffing and hospitality arrangements were no longer available. It was also alleged that Harry’s legal case against Associated Newspapers may have complicated matters because of the King’s constitutional role. However, Harry’s spokesperson disputed that version of events.
Per the representative’s account, the duke spent several days arranging alternative private security after the decision on his family’s protection. The spokesperson claimed Harry “formally accepted the accommodation” only after those plans were finalized.
