Prince William is reportedly determined not to let Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, return to the royal fold. This reportedly comes amid reports about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moving back to the UK with their two children, Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie. However, it should be noted that the Sussexes have yet to confirm reports of their UK return. In the meantime, they have been living in Montecito, California, since stepping down as working royals and leaving their royal lives in the UK in 2020.
Prince William and King Charles reportedly decide on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal future
Prince William and his father, King Charles, have allegedly been discussing Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s royal future, amid reports about their move to the UK. As reported by The Mirror, sources told the outlet that the Prince of Wales and the monarch are “completely united” in not letting Harry and Meghan pursue a “half in, half out” royal role within the monarchy.
Per the news outlet, an insider said, “Obviously the Sussexes’ return will make inevitable headlines for a few days.” The person continued, “But it has no bearing on the prince and princess’s life moving forward.”
The insider then explained, “If anything, events that have affected them over the past couple of years have made them even more determined to concentrate on what is important to them, their family, their public roles, and the ability to provide generational change for good with their public roles, and look forward to the future.”
Meanwhile, another source told the news outlet, “What Harry and Meghan choose to do is up to them.” The person also added, “As far as William and Catherine are concerned, they have left that period of their lives behind many years ago.”
