Taylor Swift’s Godchildren Had No Role in Her Wedding — Report

Taylor Swift’s godchildren were reportedly not present at her wedding to Travis Kelce. For those unversed, Swift is the godmother to Jaime King’s 10-year-old son Leo Newman. Not only that, former best friend Blake Lively chose the pop star as a godmother to her children: James, Olin, Betty, and Inez. Notably, Swift tied the knot with her fiancé, Kelce, at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on July 3.

Taylor Swift’s godchildren were reportedly not part of her wedding to Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift’s five godchildren reportedly had no role at her wedding to Travis Kelce. A source tied to Page Six shared: “She just had Jason Kelce’s [daughters] as flower girls.”

For those unversed, in 2015, Jaime King asked Swift to be the godmother to Leo. He was her son with her then-husband, Kyle Newman. Then, the year after, King attended the pop star’s Fourth of July party in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, along with Emma Stone and Lena Dunham. Interestingly, the latter two attended Swift’s recent wedding to Kelce.

One music insider explained, “Taylor gets really close to the people in front of her fast. She and Jaime just happened to be friends when Jaime was pregnant, and that’s why Jaime asked [Swift to be godmother] — but they didn’t have a super long history together.”

The duo hasn’t been spotted together in years. Previously, a source revealed to Page Six in April 2025 that King’s friendship with Swift “suffered because of the personal challenges” the pop star has “faced over the past few years.” Furthermore, Swift’s feud with Blake Lively is more recent and well-known to fans. The “Opalite” crooner reportedly began distancing herself from Lively after she was dragged into the actress’ legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

Closer to the wedding, reports surfaced that the two women had buried the hatchet and that Swift had extended an invite to Lively. An insider dished to the Daily Mail that the two of them had “spoken.” Moreover, Lively was so confident that she would attend that she had already picked out a dress.

However, Page Six refuted the claims, stating that the global pop icon was not keen on becoming friends again. The source dished, “There hasn’t been an olive branch when it comes to their friendship. And Taylor hasn’t extended a wedding invitation to Blake.”
