Kylie Kelce said Taylor Swift had become a major influence on her four daughters. The mom recently explained how Taylor’s cats sparked a new request at home. She also revealed she had been trying to convince Jason Kelce to reconsider getting a cat.
Kylie Kelce says Taylor’s cats have inspired her daughters to ask Jason for one of their own
Kylie discussed Taylor’s influence during Thursday’s episode of Not Gonna Lie. She explained that she grew up around both cats and dogs. Her daughters, however, had different influences in their lives.
“Aunt Taylor is a big one,” Kylie said during the podcast. She explained that her children now got to spend time around cats. That exposure apparently made the girls want a cat themselves.
“And then we go home, and there are no cats,” Kylie said. Her daughter reportedly questioned why their home did not have one. Kylie said she then had to bring the issue to Jason.
“I’m like, ‘Jason, I need you to lock in here,’” she joked. “There is cat need in this house,” Kylie added. Her comments suggested Taylor’s pets had made quite an impression on the children.
Taylor has three cats named Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button. The pets have also become familiar figures among the singer’s fans. Kylie, meanwhile, had previously joked about wanting Jason to agree to getting a cat.
Kylie and Jason share four daughters named Wyatt, Elliott, Bennett and Finn. The family has also grown closer to Taylor since she began dating Travis Kelce. Taylor and Travis reportedly married in New York City last month.
Kylie has remained relatively private about the couple’s wedding celebrations. She previously described the event as intimate and full of love. Jason also praised his daughters after they participated as flower girls.
“Travis and Taylor love them,” Jason previously said of his daughters. The girls’ relationship with Taylor therefore appeared to extend beyond their famous family connection. Now, Taylor’s cats had seemingly become another point of influence.
For Kylie, the feline fascination had created a new household debate. Her daughter wants cats, while Jason isn’t convinced. Taylor’s pets may have unintentionally strengthened their case.
