Kate Middleton’s Wimbledon Outing With Kids Had One Notable Absence

Prince Louis was reportedly missing from Kate Middleton’s recent Wimbledon outing with her children. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s youngest child didn’t join his family in the Royal Box on Sunday. Notably, he is the same age (8 years old) as when his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, were when they first attended Wimbledon. However, Middleton assured that her youngest son has big dreams for the future.

Prince Louis was reportedly absent from Kate Middleton’s Wimbledon outing with her children. Louis did not join his family for the men’s singles final at the annual tennis tournament on Sunday, July 12. According to PEOPLE, Prince George first attended the event with his parents in 2022, just weeks ahead of his ninth birthday. Princess Charlotte made her Wimbledon debut in 2023 when she was 8.

Interestingly, both Prince George and Princess Charlotte play tennis, just like their mother. However, Prince Louis may have different plans altogether. Notably, The Telegraph spoke to 18-year-old ball girl Jenna Fontanilla after she spoke to Middleton a day prior. As per Fontanilla, Middleton told her that Louis has dreams of becoming a ball boy.

Fontanilla shared: “She told me about how Louis was asking her about how to become a ball boy. We were talking about how much hard work it is to be on court and how we work alongside the ball kids. It’s just so lovely.”

It seems like the young royal has been harbouring this dream for quite some time, or at least since 2023. At the time, the Princess of Wales shared that Louis was sad about missing the annual tennis tournament.

At the time, a teen ball boy named Joel revealed that Middleton shared that Louis “tries to practice the standing and staying serious like us.” PA News reported: “He tries to practice the stands and how we stand at the back of the court and next to the players” (via PEOPLE).
