Lil Wayne’s bizarre requirements for his personal assistants have come to light. The details emerged as part of a legal battle with his former personal assistant, Andrew Williams, who has sued the rapper.
What to know about Lil Wayne’s latest legal battle
Daily Mail states that Williams filed a lawsuit against the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, accusing him of assaulting him on a private jet in 2022. The accuser alleged that the rapper punched him in the face during the incident while he tried to intervene in a dispute with the pilot. Now, the legal fight has brought Williams’ job description to light, revealing details about Wayne’s expectations for his employees.
Legal documents obtained by TMZ revealed that Wayne expected his assistants to be available around the clock and sign a non-disclosure agreement to handle his personal matters. The role required the assistant to ensure Wayne woke up on schedule, keep pre-rolls readily available, and maintain a supply of his preferred wraps.
Apart from this, the assistant’s duties included managing purchases, traveling with Wayne, packing for trips, running errands, and keeping his schedule organized. The role also required 24/7 phone availability, a positive attitude, and comfort around children and pets.
The lawsuit claims, as per Daily Mail, Wayne’s punch, combined with the rings and jewelry he was wearing, caused Williams physical and emotional harm. It states that the assault has “been and continues to be damaged emotionally and physically, incurring general and special damages, including medical expenses, in amounts to be proven at trial.”
Wayne, who has achieved global sales of more than 120 million records, including over 20 million albums and 95 million digital tracks in the U.S., denied any wrongdoing, arguing that his actions were in self-defense.
