TV Star Calls Donald Trump’s Truth Social Post ‘Panicked & Deranged’

A Law and Order star has slammed President Donald Trump’s latest Truth Social post. The actor mocked the post’s tone amid the ongoing Iran war crisis. The post in question is about the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil route. It is now at the center of a five-day standoff between the U.S. and Iran after a fragile peace deal collapsed. Trump claimed in the post that “oil is flowing like never before,” a statement made even as a U.S. naval blockade on Iranian ports threatens to push prices higher than they climbed in April.

Chris Meloni slams Donald Trump’s posts on Iran war

Law and Order star Christopher Meloni reacted to Donald Trump’s Truth Social post on X. Meloni wrote, “ChatGTP, write me the most panicked deranged, fantastical tweet you can,” referencing the AI chatbot ChatGPT.

Trump’s original Truth Social post was lengthy and touched on several economic claims beyond the blockade itself. He wrote that he had decided to “replace the 20% United States Reimbursement Fee with Trade and Investment Deals that the various Gulf States will be making into the United States.” He described the coming investments as “MASSIVE,” adding they would be “extraordinarily good” for the Gulf states “and their future.”

Trump went further, stating, “As everyone is aware, we have the largest Dollar Investment into the United States, of any Country in History, but these new Investments will make that Number even larger, and we will see Factories, Plants, and Equipment pour into the United States at Historic levels, which will create additional millions of High Paying AMERICAN Jobs! America is WINNING again, winning like never before.”

Chris Meloni is a frequent commentator on Trump-related news. On Sunday, he wrote, “Another MAGAt gets caught in his BS.” This came after conspiracy theorist Patrick Byrne, former CEO of Overstock, was ordered to pay Hunter Biden $1.7 million for defamation. Meloni also praised Canada’s role at last week’s NATO summit in Turkey. He added that Prime Minister Mark Carney made Trump look bad by comparison.
