Influencer Nara Smith took to Instagram to share a major life update about her daughter Whimsy. The content creator, who shares her daughter and three other children with Lucky Blue Smith, shared that Whimsy, who had been diagnosed with cancer late last year, is finally in remission.

In the video, Smith is seen reflecting on the painful eight months of her life when she discovered that her daughter had cancer and sought intensive treatment, including chemotherapy.
In the video, she profusely thanked supporters and well-wishers for their kind messages during the trying time.
“I just wanted to come on here and say thank you so, so much for all your kind messages, prayers, support. It truly has meant so, so much to us,” she said. “Lucky and I have been going through this and processing it for the last eight months, and we were debating on even sharing such a private part of our life.”
She continued on the same strain, revealing her initial hesitations to share such a personal part of her life. “We wanted to wait until she was done with treatment and knowing what the outcome of her situation would be before sharing it and even finding the words to share it,” she said, adding, “Now that she’s finally in remission, it felt like I could find the words to share.”
According to People, Smith also said that the importance of sharing her journey is to give voice to those families who are actively fighting the disease privately. She also touched on the huge expenses of getting medical treatment, saying, “Going through chemo treatments opened my eyes to how expensive medical care is and what a toll it takes on families, specifically.”
Smith also stressed the fact that she is currently researching cancer charities to support and has posted some links that could “help families”. She also revealed that now since her daughter is in remission, she and her husband are trying to return to normal, everyday life, although she doesn’t know “whether life will ever feel normal again”
She concluded, “I’m sending all my love to families that are actively still going through this fight.” The caption of the post includes a link to GoFundMe pages.
Nara and Lucky also share daughter Rumble Honey, 5, son Slim Easy, 4, and daughter Fawnie Golden. Lucky is also father to his daughter Gravity, who he shares with model Stormi Bree.
