According to Just Jared, three Taylor Swift songs received Canvas updates on Spotify. Her Toy Story 5 song “I Knew It, I Knew You” received a green background. Then its piano version switched to purple, while “Blank Space” from 1989 was updated with a red Canvas.
The changes quickly caught fans’ attention because the colors are associated with different eras of Swift’s music career. Speculation has since spread about whether Swift is preparing to release something new. Fans have taken to social media to share their theories.
One fan wrote, “ikiiky makes sense if it’s debut tv but why blank space?” while another took the conversation in a different direction, writing, “Ok hear me out: Red- 4th album, Purple (Speak Now)- 3rd album & dark Green (Reputation)- 6th album… 4+3+6=13.” The theory suggests that 13, Swift’s famously lucky number, could point to the release of her 13th studio album rather than another re-recording. Another fan believed the colorful updates hinted at multiple Taylor’s Version projects, writing, “OMG RED TV DEBUT TV AND SPEAK NOW TV.”
