How Adam Sandler surprised guests before officiating Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding

Jonathan Thomas says guests at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding were surprised by one particular moment. The President and Chief Executive Officer of American Century Investments attended the couple’s lavish wedding on July 3, 2026, at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

As per multiple reports, nearly 1,000 guests attended the ceremony, which was described as nothing short of a “fairytale.” Neither Swift nor Kelce has shared any wedding photos yet. However, the details about the ceremony continue to emerge, sending fans into a frenzy.

Recently, Thomas appeared on an episode of “The Compound and Friends” podcast. Hosts Sean Russo and Downtown Josh Brown discussed topics including business, his path to becoming CEO, AI investments, and more. The conversation also turned to Swift and Kelce’s wedding.

During one segment, Thomas shared that everyone at the wedding had a great time, adding that Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony. He said, “He came down, everybody laughed and thought it was a joke at first.”

He continued, “He probably spoke for 20 or 30 minutes, vacillated between funny, very sincere, sang a few things.” Thomas added that Sandler put a personal spin on the traditional wedding vows.

He recalled that while the usual vows include the phrase, “For rich or for poor,” Sandler jokingly said, “You’re not going to have to worry about that.” The CEO added that the actor’s main message to the couple was, “Kiss each other every day, in the morning, at night after dinner, just kiss often.”
