Jacob Elordi Finally Reveals Bizarre Injury Behind Cannes Absence

Jacob Elordi reveals why he skipped Cannes during his recent appearance. The actor shared that a bizarre injury kept him from attending the film festival. Elordi put months of speculation to an end by revealing what had happened.

Jacob Elordi revealed the painful accident that forced him to miss the Cannes Film Festival

Jacob Elordi recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he revealed why he missed the Cannes Film Festival.

He said, “Well, I had, um, I had so, I broke both my heels earlier this year. Yeah. I shot. Don’t talk about it. It’s like, it’s like fight club. I was I jumped off something.”

“Um, but it’s like fight club. Yeah. Okay. But so I was in a cast and a moon boot the same time that Nate was getting his um, his digits cut off,” the Euphoria star added.

He further revealed that he was wearing a cast and a moon boot when Euphoria Season 3 was being filmed. So, many fans believed that the foot injury was due to his method acting for the series as Nate Jacobs.  

He said, “So people like everyone thought it was hilarious to be like, Oh, method acting. You did method acting, you know.” I was like, “Yeah, I cut my toe off.”

The last season of his hit series included an episode where his character was brutally beaten before ultimately getting killed.

He added, “There was a lot of uh, there was a lot of that a lot of people, you know, inquiring after my uh my members.” Many joked he had gone too far with his method acting.

The actor was invited to be part of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival, according to Page Six. However, he declined to attend, citing a foot injury. Although he cited a foot injury when declining the Cannes invitation, many fans speculated he was spending time with his alleged girlfriend and model Kendall Jenner.
