Taylor Swift Post-Wedding Buzz Collides With $500K Legal Dispute

One celebrity event planner reportedly involved in Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding is facing a legal battle over unpaid fees. Mark Seed, who has worked with several high-profile clients, has been ordered to pay more than $650,000 in a civil lawsuit. Buttermilk Creative Inc. alleges Seed failed to pay for party production services. Seed has not made any public statement on the matter.

According to court documents reviewed by RadarOnline.com, Mark Seed must pay Buttermilk Creative Inc. $658,732.15. The company sued Seed in Los Angeles County Superior Court in June 2025 over unpaid fees tied to three luxury Hollywood events. One of those events involved celebrity couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. Buttermilk’s attorney, Lorrie Walton, said, “Our client provided services and didn’t get paid.”

The lawsuit alleged that Seed owed $476,924 in unpaid debt. On May 12, 2026, the court entered a default judgment after Seed failed to respond to the lawsuit. The final amount included $476,924 in damages, $178,873.54 in interest, $1,200 in attorney fees, and $1,734.61 in court costs. Dennis Roach, Seed’s attorney, declined to comment on the case.

Sources told RadarOnline that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly selected Seed to plan their wedding because of his reputation for keeping events private. Seed has also planned weddings for Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, and Jack Antonoff. In an email dated June 2024 to Buttermilk CEO Christian Escario, Seed wrote that he had become “stressed with work.” He stated that it was difficult to deal with ” high-profile clients”.

Buttermilk’s attorney said he was not sure why Seed ignored the lawsuit. Walton said the two sides attempted to settle the dispute but could not agree on terms. The legal matter remains ongoing following the court’s default judgment.
