With netizens bombarding Donald Trump Jr. with questions regarding his supposed addiction to drugs, the president’s eldest son has come out to set the record straight on the topic. The businessman-cum-political activist hit back at the criticism levied at him by social media users in a recent video, where he also explained the real reason behind his exhausted demeanor.
Donald Trump Jr. responds to long-standing addiction claims
In the latest episode of his curiously titled series, “Triggered”, Donald Trump Jr. publicly denied having consumed drugs and struck down allegations of him having developed an addiction to substances.
He started by reading the comments left by ‘trolls’ regarding his looks. “Lay off the coke, Junior,” wrote one user, prompting Donald Trump’s son to say, “I know.”
“You look like s***,” he continued. “I know, I got ya. The usual stuff, you know.”
Donald Trump Jr. then tried to focus on the absurdity of the claims made against him by highlighting how no one had pictured him doing drugs till now. “I’ve done so much of it, yet shockingly, considering, according to the Twitter, I’m the biggest c******d in the world, shockingly, there’s never been a photo, or a video, or anyone with any credibility actually saying that they’ve seen me do this,” he said sarcastically, as per The Daily Beast.
He further explained the reason behind his weary appearance, crediting it to a foot surgery he underwent “a couple of days ago” to tend to a previous injury he had suffered following a “bad landing” during a paragliding campaign.
Donald Trump Jr. concluded the segment by admitting that critics will always target him even if the addiction speculations surrounding him weren’t true. “It is what it is, but you know, the trolls are always going to do that; it’s—it’s fine. I’m happy to address it,” he noted.
