Say it isn’t so! Nicolandria is no more! Love Island USA stars Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe have called it quits. The pair have been together for a year since leaving the villa, but it looks like their journey has come to an end.

A source revealed to PEOPLE that the fan-favorite couple from Season 7 have “decided to part ways.” The source said that the distance between them was just too challenging and their busy schedules made it difficult to “maintain their connection.”
“They remain close friends,” the source added. “They share a deep love and respect for each other and will always support one another whenever possible.”
So far, Olandria and Nic haven’t made a public statement. But Nicolandria lovers’ hearts are definitely breaking.
The pair cemented their space in the hearts of fans during their season when a surprise Casa Amor twist gave them a second shot at finding love. They were both eliminated from the show in a dramatic re-coupling but then re-appeared in the villa hand-in-hand. And the rest is Love Island history!
While Olandria was a bit wary at first, considering Nic’s connection to her friend Cierra Ortega, in the end, she admits coupling with Nic was the “best decision I have ever made.” The pair came in second and left the villa as a couple.
They have been enjoying their time together since, despite online speculation that their relationship wasn’t real. They’ve both defended their relationship, with Olandria lashing out at online trolls just last month, asking why they keep asking for “proof” of her and Nic together.
“Why is it your business?” she asked online commenters. “Are you touch-deprived? Go get a man, go do something with your life. Why does it matter if me and Nic are together?”
Olandria previously shared that she and Nic actively kept out of the spotlight and didn’t want to monetize their relationship. Sadly, it looks like they may not be enjoying a happily ever after, after all.
