Meghan Markle would reportedly not return to the UK full-time. According to a source, if the Sussexes did that, then it would expose what Megxit was really about. For those unversed, the “Suits” alum joined Prince Harry with their kids, Archie and Lilibet, later on his UK trip. Markle seemed to have met only King Charles and Queen Camilla and didn’t attend any public events. She returned to her husband’s homeland after four years.
Expert claims why Meghan Markle would never consider UK return full-time
Meghan Markle would allegedly never consider returning to the UK forever. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told The Express that the Sussexes would be “in the extreme” if they plan to move back to the palace.
He insisted that the Duchess would reportedly not even consider it. “The humiliation would be huge as their brand does attract worldwide attention and the public don’t like them as shown by their abysmal ratings in recent polls,” he said.
Moreover, the royal family would allegedly not want Markle and Prince Harry’s return. According to Fitzwilliams, they seemed “not to trust” the Sussexes. Reportedly, the royal family believed that the non-working royal couple might not want to think about it as well.
“It would show Megxit for what it is, shallow, callous and, because it trades off their royal connections, which they were happy to attack so publicly, hypocritical in the extreme,” he claimed.
Markle and Harry stepped down as working royals in 2020. They moved to California to rebuild a new lifestyle, suggesting they would live freely without their royal responsibilities. However, since last year, the duke had been in the news for his attempts to reunite with his family.
It was reported that King Charles welcomed the idea as he wanted to spend time with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Hence, the kids, along with their mother, joined Harry to meet the royals.
