Brooklyn Beckham’s in-laws face another legal issue as Nelson Peltz is hit with a lawsuit over a “dangerous dog.” The complaint came after a previous lawsuit involving the same pet was settled confidentially.
The new lawsuit alleges the Peltz family’s pit bull attacked another visitor without warning
Nelson Peltz has been hit with a lawsuit by a woman visiting the mansion, who claims she was bitten by the dog. This is the second lawsuit against Peltz regarding dog bite allegations. Previously, the former housekeeper at their mansion filed a lawsuit alleging that the pet named “Houdini” attacked her.
Peltz settled the first lawsuit confidentially. Now, Joy Ransom sued the businessman over the pet dog gifted to him by Nicola Peltz. According to the Daily Mail, the lawsuit alleges that the dog was loose on the grounds and suddenly attacked Joy Ransom.
The filing also asks Nelson and his wife to clarify whether the actress Nicola was present with Houdini when the alleged attack occurred.
Ransom’s lawyers alleged that the Peltzes were aware of the dog’s history of attacks while referencing their previous lawsuit at Palm Beach County Circuit Court. According to reports, the incident took place in December 2025, and the dog suddenly attacked her. The Peltz family failed to confine the dog and protect visitors despite their previous case.
The filing stated, “As a direct result of the defendants’ negligence, Joy suffered bodily injury and resulting physical and mental pain and suffering,’ it continued. ‘The injuries are either permanent or continuing. Houdini had, on at least one occasion, attacked Joy Ransom and other business invitees.”
The claimants are demanding a jury trial and damages of $50,000. Houdini, who is alleged to be dangerous, was a rescued dog that Brooklyn Beckham’s wife, Nicola, gifted to her parents from an animal shelter she co-founded.
Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham have not made any public comment regarding the latest lawsuit.
