Florida Georgia Line Star’s Fishing Trip Takes a Painful Turn

Tyler Hubbard’s family camping trip turned into an unexpected medical emergency after a fishing hook became lodged in his head. The Florida Georgia Line star documented the painful mishap on Instagram, where his wife, Hayley Hubbard, stepped in to save the day.

The scary moment quickly became a family memory. Thankfully, it ended with plenty of laughter.

Tyler Hubbard shared the shocking fishing accident on Instagram

Hubbard shared the mishap on Instagram, posting a video that showed his wife, Hayley, carefully removing a fish hook lodged in his scalp during a family camping trip. He captioned the Reel, “Breakfast had to wait…”

As Hayley examined the injury, one of their children asked whether Dad was bleeding. Hubbard calmly replied, “Probably not bleeding a lot, but it might be a little.”

Hayley admitted she needed a moment to figure out her plan. “Are there any tricks to this?” she asked before carefully working the hook loose.

She kept encouraging her husband throughout the ordeal. Calling him “so brave,” she eventually pulled the hook free and celebrated, “Oh, we got it!”

The family quickly found humor in the frightening experience. Hayley later shared vacation highlights on Instagram and joked, “All the memories made were worth the [schlepping] and loading up and unpacking and fun that comes along with camping. Next time we’ll try to avoid fish hooks in the head.”

The camping adventure arrived during another exciting chapter for Hubbard. Earlier this month, he hinted that more Florida Georgia Line reunion performances could happen next year.

Speaking with Chicago’s US99 radio station, Hubbard said he and former bandmate Brian Kelley had recently spent time together. “We’re kind of itching to get back on stage, so we’ll probably put some shows together next year,” he shared. “We’re both excited. It’s gonna be a fun year next year.”

The couple also celebrated 11 years of marriage this month. Hayley wrote on Instagram, “You make life so fun, and I’m so grateful for these years together! Cheers to forever together.”

Hubbard answered with his own playful message, writing, “Dayummm you look good, girl ;).”

After surviving fish hooks, camping, and raising three adventurous kids, the Hubbards clearly know how to handle life’s unexpected surprises.
