Rahsaan Rogers spent 16 years at the Howard Stern Show. That run has ended. He confirmed his exit on LinkedIn, joining at least four other on-air names cut loose this month. The Howard Stern Show shakeup has claimed roughly a dozen staffers so far.

The cuts followed news that Stern would scale back to a single live broadcast per week, The Sun reported. Rogers struck a warm note rather than a bitter one. “After 16 incredible years with The Howard Stern Show and the Howard Stern Channels, I’m opening a new chapter,” he wrote.
He listed what the job gave him. “I got to interview people I grew up admiring, direct live broadcasts in real time, and mentor some seriously talented producers along the way,” he said. He credited the show with teaching him how the work actually gets done, pointing to “preparation, instinct, and knowing what the audience wants before they do.”
Then he asked his network to keep him in mind and signed off. “To everyone I worked with over these 16 years: thank you. What a ride”
Insiders told the outlet that the departing staff received light severance and never saw the decision coming. Those still there are said to be uneasy about what happens next.
The scale of the change is hard to miss. Stern, 73, and cohost Robin Quivers started together in March 1981 and built the show on five live broadcasts a week. They moved to Sirius Satellite Radio in January 2006 on a $500 million deal, then trimmed to four days, then three.
From September, listeners get one three-hour episode a week. The SiriusXM layoffs landed shortly after Stern signed a three-year extension through 2028. Some of those let go had been with him more than two decades. Subscribers have been canceling since the schedule news broke.
