The Grammy winner will wrap the tour in London on Sept. 1. After that, she plans to take a well-earned break from public-facing work.

A representative for Grande confirmed the news in a statement to PEOPLE, explaining that the singer intends to prioritize her well-being after months on the road. “Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour,” the representative said.
The spokesperson added, “She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny.”
According to the representative, Grande has cherished the experience despite the challenges. “This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much,” the statement continued.
A source close to the singer also praised her commitment throughout the demanding schedule. “She performs a very physical show, and there is a lot of athleticism involved,” the source told PEOPLE. “She performs healthily and successfully at a very high level night after night.”
The outlet also confirmed Grande will no longer star in the upcoming West End revival of Sunday in the Park with George. She had previously planned to reunite with her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey for the production.
The source said Grande remains excited about the project despite stepping away. “She cannot wait to support the brilliant team bringing this project to life,” the insider shared.
Public conversation surrounding Grande’s health intensified again after she released the music video for her new single, “Petal,” from her latest album of the same name.
The singer has repeatedly addressed commentary about her body over the years. In her 2024 song “Yes, And?” she sang, “My face is sitting, I don’t need no disguise / Don’t comment on my body, do not reply / Your business is yours, and mine is mine.”
The insider also described Petal as “a fight song, an anthem about the love-hate relationship with the public and their toxicity,” adding that the record “is not about any romantic partner or breakup in that way.”
After her break, Grande will return to movie screens in Focker-in-Law, alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro.
