Frank Jr. and Nicole Perricho exchanged vows during a beautiful wedding in Portugal
Frank Catania Jr. married Nicole Perricho on Saturday, Aug. 1, at The Vintage House in Portugal’s Douro Valley. The 27-year-old son of Dolores Catania married Nicole, 31, in her family’s home country. Real Housewives of New Jersey fans had been waiting for the day since the couple’s 2025 engagement. The wedding festivities included a boat party, church vows, and a reception filled with playful nods to the couple’s love story.
The pair told PEOPLE they wanted a “relaxed, elegant and effortlessly romantic” celebration. Above all, they hoped it would be an “authentic celebration in the heart of wine country.”
Nicole’s heritage inspired that choice. “Nicole’s family is from Portugal, and her roots here run deep,” Frank Jr. said. He explained that they had returned every summer since they started dating, so the region “already felt like home to us.” As a result, he said he could not picture a better place to begin married life.
Planner JoAnn Gregoli helped shape the day. The couple wanted an intimate celebration with their closest friends. They also wanted a traditional Catholic ceremony in a church, and their parish priest in Portugal officiated.
A plated dinner followed the vows. Guests sampled local Portuguese wines, artisanal cheeses, and dishes including burrata with heirloom tomatoes, filet mignon, Atlantic fish, and lobster. Afterward, they cut a four-tier cake with ivory buttercream, alongside a chocolate cake with salted caramel filling and Portuguese pastries such as pastéis de nata.
The reception had a playful atmosphere. “For the reception, we wanted an energetic D.J. who could keep everyone on the dance floor with a mix of early 2000s music,” they said. In addition, a projector played scenes from Miami Vice, which they called “a fun little detail that made the celebration feel even more like us.”
They chose “Risk It All” by Bruno Mars for their first dance. “The lyrics really spoke to us,” they said. Meanwhile, the Catania family extended the celebration throughout the weekend. It began with a boat party on the Douro River.
