Marjorie Taylor Greene, aka MTG, reportedly joined forces with renowned conservative journalist Tucker Carlson in a new movement against Donald Trump. The Georgia-born politician took to social media to declare her alignment, all the while stating that the POTUS had “betrayed us all.”

On August 1, Marjorie Taylor Greene shared a picture on her X (formerly Twitter) with Tucker Carlson and two more political individuals, along with their partners, to declare the commencement of a new campaign.
In the social media update, MTG called out Donald Trump for going back on his word and starting a global conflict. She also emphasized her dedication to the American people in the caption before announcing the beginning of a new movement.
“We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise,” MTG’s post read. “But he’s betrayed us all. Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center. The movement has begun.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene’s picture featured her, her husband Brian Glenn, and Tucker Carlson sitting around a wooden dining table at the latter’s studio in Maine. The image also included Thomas Massie, Kentucky’s Republican representative, and former director of the National Counterterrorism Center Joe Kent. Additionally, Massie and Kent’s wives, namely Carolyn Moffa and Heather Kent, were also present at the table.
According to Huff Post, Massie had pushed extensively for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, in solidarity with Greene, before he contested and ultimately lost a primary battle against Trump-backed Ed Gallrein. Meanwhile, Kent, who had led the National Counterterrorism Center since July 2025, resigned from his post earlier this year in a bid to oppose Trump’s decision to attack Iran.
While the nature of the movement mentioned by Marjorie Taylor Greene in her X post remains unclear at the time of writing, her meet-up with Tucker Carlson and other officials who have openly criticized Donald Trump could hint at plans for a new political party.
