Ray J reportedly has no plans to stop boxing after suffering a brutal knockout loss. The singer discussed his future during an appearance on The TMZ Podcast. Despite his hospitalization, Ray said he still had more to accomplish.
Ray J still plans to fight after his knockout loss to Supa Hot Fire
Ray appeared on The TMZ Podcast and discussed his recent boxing loss. He admitted that he did not remember much of the fight afterward. Supa Hot Fire knocked him out during their Las Vegas bout in May.
Ray described his upcoming period as his “final reckless moments.” He said he wanted to complete his bucket list before eventually becoming more responsible. Ray suggested that Reckless Ray was not ready to disappear just yet.
“I’ve got more crazy stuff to do before I finally grow up,” Ray said. His comments suggested that he still wanted to embrace his adventurous side. However, he also acknowledged that his life could eventually become quieter.
Ray also discussed combining lessons from his business and technology experience. He wanted to bring those lessons into his next chapter. The singer also referenced his experiences in television and relationships.
The Knockout came during Ray’s fight against Supa in Las Vegas. Supa landed a powerful right hook that sent Ray into the ropes. Ray then fell onto the canvas during the fight.
Ray reportedly checked himself into a hospital several hours after the bout. Doctors evaluated him for a possible concussion and monitored his slowing heart rate. He ultimately spent four nights in the hospital following the fight.
The bout also attracted attention because of Ray’s comments after the fight. He grabbed a microphone and appeared to suggest that something had been arranged. Ray later denied throwing the match or participating in any scheme.
Despite the difficult experience, Ray remains determined to continue boxing. His comments suggested that he still believed he had more fights ahead. Reckless Ray apparently was not ready to hang up the gloves.
