Scott Eastwood opened up about his experience working with Taylor Swift. The actor revealed his team was against the idea of him working with the singer. Despite the team’s concerns, Eastwood decided to move forward with the project.
Scott Eastwood said his team warned him against starring in Taylor Swift’s ‘Wildest Dreams’ music video
Scott Eastwood appeared on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard, where he revealed that Swift invited him to star in the music video “Wildest Dreams.” However, his team reportedly warned him against it and said they considered it a bad idea.
The actor recalled how Taylor Swift reached out to him. He said, “Oh, I saw you. And well, first off, she called, and I had no like pre-warning.”
“You know, a lot of times people are like, “Hey, uh, somebody wants to call you. And you’re like, “Yeah, okay. I’ll take that call.” Uh, but there she was like, “Hey, this is Taylor Swift.” [laughter] It’s like an unknown number. Like what?” he added.
According to US Weekly, Eastwood shared he was “intrigued” about the idea behind the music video and the creative vision behind it. He said, “She wanted to do like an out of an out of Africa type thing, right? And it was like this cinematic film.”
Further, he spoke about sharing the news with his team who were against the idea. He said, “I remember telling my agents, and none of them wanted me to do them. They were like, This is a bad idea. Do not seem like a vertical step. No, they were like, “Do not do a Taylor Swift music video.” And I said, “Nah, you know, I don’t agree. think that she’s cool and she has a really cool idea for this thing.”
