Amanda Kloots is opening up about dating after loss, saying she believes her late husband, Nick Cordero, would want her to find love again. While promoting her new podcast, the TV personality reflected on grief, healing, and embracing another chance at happiness.
Amanda Kloots Said She Believes Late Husband Nick Cordero Would Want Her To Find Love Again
In an interview with US, the 44-year-old promoted her Good Grief With Amanda Kloots podcast, where she encouraged fellow widows to remain open to finding love again. Kloots said her heart still has room for love while reflecting on the bond she continues to share with her late husband, Nick Cordero, and their son, Elvis.
“I want to love again and I know Nick would want me to love again,” the Tell Me Your Dreams author added, “It’s like having five children. You don’t love them less when you have more. There’s more parts in your heart. So I think it’s a journey. I think what I can tell you is that in dating again after loss, I’ve learned so much about myself.”
Kloots said, “Letting love back into your life is a journey, and sometimes it takes a long time and sometimes people find it right away.”
“I would say the best advice I can give anybody is if you have a friend in my situation, just love and support them,” she added
Kloots and Cordero met in 2014 before marrying in 2017. They welcomed their son, Elvis, in 2019. Cordero died in July 2020 after a 95-day hospitalization following COVID-19 complications, and Kloots has since become an advocate for openly discussing grief and healing.
Today, Kloots says she’s focused on raising her son, continuing her work, and helping others navigate grief through her new podcast. While she acknowledges that finding love again is a journey, she believes giving herself permission to move forward is exactly what Cordero would have wanted.
