Joe Amabile has given fans a positive health update following brain surgery. The 40-year-old Bachelor in Paradise star, who revealed his diagnosis last month, shared that doctors successfully removed the entire tumor.

Amabile, better known to fans as Grocery Store Joe, posted photos from his hospital bed on Instagram while sharing the update on August 6. One image showed the Bachelor in Paradise alum giving the camera a peace sign, while another captured him holding hands with his wife, Serena Pitt. He captioned the post, “They got it all!”
Fans quickly filled the comments section with messages of support. One wrote, “You did it Joe!! Best news!!!” Another commented, “YES!! So many years of joy ? the power of prayer. Best news EVER! Sending love and fast healing vibes.”
His wife, who met Amabile on season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise and tied the knot in 2022, also shared the good news on her Instagram Stories, writing, “The best update: They were able to remove the entire tumor.” Adding, “Joe is recovering really well. We’re feeling so grateful,” reports Us Weekly.
The former reality star first disclosed the diagnosis on July 13 via an Instagram video that a full-body MRI scan through Prenuvo led doctors to discover an early-stage glioma. He said he “had to go get a brain MRI, and there was a blueberry-sized lesion in my brain that looks to be a glioma, which is a tumor.”
In a video message, Amabile told his followers that he will “now need to get brain surgery in two weeks to get it removed and get it tested, and then we’re gonna go from there. So it’s been a wild couple of weeks. Definitely wasn’t expecting this.”
