Kim Kardashian’s Hidden Hills estate became the scene of an alleged burglary over the weekend. A 27-year-old suspect reportedly entered the property during renovations before taking a staffer’s car for a ride.
Kardashian and her children stayed elsewhere while construction continued at the sprawling estate.
An intruder allegedly forced his way inside Kim Kardashian’s mansion
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the suspect arrived Sunday afternoon and forced open a door. A security guard reportedly spotted him removing items and loading them into a vehicle.
The guard then contacted the sheriff’s office, prompting deputies to surround the property. Authorities eventually arrested the man without further incident.
Police said nobody suffered injuries during the incident. They also found no weapons on the suspect, who faced a burglary charge.
The Los Angeles Times reported that authorities received the call shortly before 4 p.m. The incident occurred at the Long Valley Road property in the gated Hidden Hills community.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Tracy Koerner told the outlet that someone had seen the suspect loading items into a vehicle. He also confirmed that nobody occupied the home during the alleged incident.
According to law enforcement sources, Kardashian’s cars remained at the property despite her absence. Kardashian and her children had reportedly lived in a rental for several months.
However, sources close to Kardashian disputed parts of the police account. They claimed the suspect never actually entered the home and said Kardashian kept no belongings there.
Kardashian and Kanye West purchased the multimillion-dollar estate in 2014. The property reportedly offered 15,667 square feet of living space across eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.
The mansion also featured a theater, game room, library, gym and eight fireplaces. Kardashian reportedly expanded her Hidden Hills compound by purchasing a neighboring property last fall.
