Leah Kateb has a surprisingly simple answer for fans who still hope to see her reconnect with former Love Island USA flame Rob Rausch. Two years after their turbulent Season 6 connection became one of the show’s biggest storylines, Kateb has explained where they stand today and why she thinks viewers should stop treating their brief romance like unfinished business.

During the Aug. 11 episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Kateb told host Amanda Hirsch that she has not seen Rausch since a Love Island USA cast outing to Universal Studios Hollywood in July 2024. “After the show, we hung out at Universal Studios Hollywood and all of that,” Kateb said. She added that the group outing was likely the last time they saw each other and said, “I just haven’t seen him [since then].”
Despite the long gap, Kateb made it clear there is no feud. She said she does not consider things awkward between them and added that she is “really happy for him and proud” of how well he is doing.
Rausch has also suggested there is no bad blood. During a March appearance on Watch What Happens Live, he said he had not spoken to Kateb “since pretty much after” Season 6, but said he still had love for her and Miguel Harichi.
The latest Leah Kateb and Rob Rausch update comes two years after the pair first coupled up on Love Island USA. Their romance ended after Rausch pursued Andrea Carmona, while Kateb eventually formed a stronger connection with Harichi. Kateb and Harichi finished Season 6 as runners-up and remain together.
Kateb also pushed back on fans who continue making edits of her and Rausch or urging her to leave Harichi. She noted that her romance with Rausch lasted only about a week and questioned why viewers remain so attached to it years later.
Rausch has since found another reality TV success by winning The Traitors Season 4. Kateb, meanwhile, said she is happy to see him doing well rather than holding onto what happened in the villa.
With Love Island USA 2026 now awaiting its Season 8 reunion, Kateb wants fans to view her Season 6 story as a chapter from two summers ago, not a romance waiting to restart. Peacock has scheduled the Season 8 reunion for Aug. 31.
