Prince Harry Is ‘Desperate’ To Get Pictured Beside King Charles — Expert

Prince Harry is reportedly “desperate” to appear alongside King Charles at the Invictus Games. The Duke of Sussex founded the sporting event in 2014 for wounded, injured, and sick service members and veterans. The 2027 edition will mark the first time the international sports competition has been hosted in the UK since the inaugural games in London.

Expert mentions Prince Harry’s desperation when it comes to King Charles

Prince Harry is seeking royal validation following his meeting with King Charles. Sources are claiming that the 41-year-old Duke is hoping for the King’s support at the 2027 Invictus Games. Having invited His Majesty to Birmingham, the estranged royal is hoping for a public reunion with his father after six years apart.

As reported by The News International, royal expert Emily Ferguson said, “Prince Harry is desperate to be pictured alongside the King at the Birmingham 2027 Invictus Games next year. It would mark a milestone moment for father and son after a tense and strained relationship following the Duke of Sussex’s decision to hurl furious attacks at the Royal Family in TV interviews, a Netflix documentary and his bombshell memoir Spare.”

Ferguson also noted that the father and son have seen each other privately several times. Their most recent meeting was at Highgrove House last month, attended by his wife and children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. But there have been no joint public photos of them since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022.

The royal expert further highlighted that Prince Harry’s wish to reconcile is no secret. She added that he mentions it at every opportunity. However, it would be a major test of King Charles’ capacity for forgiveness to do so publicly.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties and moved to the US in 2020. The decision, dubbed “Megxit,” marked the start of public tension and strained ties with the royal family. The Duke and his father have grown closer since their last meeting. However, his relationship with Prince William and other senior royals is still tense.
