Travis Kelce called his wedding to Taylor Swift the “best night of my life,” offering a rare glimpse into their private celebration. The Kansas City Chiefs star discussed the July wedding while keeping most details of the highly private event under wraps.

Kelce and Swift, both 36, married during two days of celebrations at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on July 2 and 3. Speaking at a briefing, Kelce thanked everyone who attended and celebrated with them.
“I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and, you know, had fun with us,” he said. The NFL star said the celebration left him with one major takeaway. “That’s pretty much all I’m taking away from that night. It was a crazy night. It was full of a lot of celebration.”
Kelce also described the wedding venue as particularly meaningful because Madison Square Garden had played a role in his childhood dreams. “It’s kind of cool to be able to, you know, live out my childhood dream of being in that venue and, you know, the mecca of all sports venues, being able to get married in there,” the three-time Super Bowl winner said.
Despite the scale of the celebration, Swift and Kelce have shared very few details about their wedding. Comedian and actor Adam Sandler reportedly officiated the ceremony, while designer Jonathan Anderson created their Christian Dior wedding looks.
Swift also wore Louboutin shoes. Around 1,000 guests reportedly attended, including numerous high-profile celebrities. Authorities closed nearby streets and maintained a heavy police presence around the venue. New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani later revealed that the newlyweds paid the city $160,000 to cover costs associated with the event.
Swift and Kelce went public with their romance after the NFL star famously revealed that he had tried to give the singer his phone number after attending her Eras Tour concert. The couple announced their engagement in August 2025 before eventually exchanging vows in New York.
