An Instagram video posted by New York street photographer @brklyn119 shows Sarandon walking through the city with a Palestine keffiyeh draped over her shoulders. A pro-Palestine Instagram account later reshared the footage, bringing more attention to Sarandon’s New York appearance.
The clothing choice was consistent with Susan Sarandon’s Palestine advocacy. The actor has repeatedly voiced support for Palestinians and calls for a ceasefire, while her own Instagram presence has continued to highlight related causes.
Sarandon has also spoken openly about the professional consequences she says followed her political views. In a 2025 interview with British Vogue, she discussed being dropped by UTA after appearing at a pro-Palestine rally in New York in 2023. “All my projects were pulled,” she told the publication.
