Prince William & Kate Middleton’s Flight Rule Has a Surprising Catch — Crew

Former British Airways cabin crew member and former Love Island contestant Helena Ford has revealed an intriguing travel rule reportedly followed by Prince William and Kate Middleton. Speaking on the Private Parts podcast, Ford claimed that the Prince and Princess of Wales are not allowed to fly in the “highest cabin” available when traveling by air.

British Airways crew reveals Prince William and Kate Middleton’s one flight rule

Ex-British Airways Cabin Crew Helena Ford dished on Prince William and Kate Middleton’s one interesting flight rule. Notably, British Airways is the royal couple’s go-to company for travel. Ford said, “I think there is a thing in place where they can’t fly in the highest cabin, so if there’s a first class, they have to sit in business, and if there isn’t a first class, they have to sit in Traveller Plus.”

She added, “So I’ve had Boris Johnson on a flight in Traveller Plus before. They can’t sit in the highest cabin.”

Ford revealed that on a flight she worked, the Waleses were seated in business class. She explained that even though the couple was seated in Business Class, their security was thoroughly managed by their own team, who were dressed as regular people. Ford shared, “When we had Will and Kate, it was in Business because we had First, but the whole of Business was security dressed as normal people, so you wouldn’t know.”

Furthermore, the former cabin crew member confessed she had no idea why such a rule existed for the royal couple. Ford also added that “they all have fake names.”

Interestingly, the Princess of Wales has a special personal connection with British Airways. Her parents owe their love story to this airline, as they met while working for British Airways.

Notably, Middleton renewed her international duties when she traveled to Italy earlier this year for a two-day visit. Not only that, she will reportedly accompany her husband to Mumbai, India, for the Earthshot Prize Ceremony (via The Royal Observer).
