Darline Graham faced boos from her hometown crowd during debate

Lindsey Graham’s sister, Darline, was recently booed by a crowd during a South Carolina debate. At the event, she answered a question about national security.

According to a report by The Daily Beast, Darline attended a debate against her opponent, Representative Ralph Norman. There, she was asked whether the South China Sea and Taiwan can be considered national security issues for the United States. In her reply, Darline said she would give an honest answer and added, “I’m not that informed on national security.”

This led the audience to erupt, and Darline was met with booed for her answer.

She paused, then admitted she is not an expert on national security. However, she conveyed, “But I do support the military. I’m not a polished politician up here. National security is not my thing, not my area of expertise, but I support the military.”

Lindsey passed away at the age of 71 in July. After his demise, President Donald Trump immediately endorsed Darline to take over his position. According to a report by The Hill, Trump praised her in a post on Truth Social. The President said, “I asked Darline, for the Good of our Nation, to run for the U.S. Senate in the Special Republican Primary on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. I hope Darline does this, in that there would be nobody better to honor the legacy of her beloved brother, Lindsey.”
