The rift between the brothers deepened after the Duke of Sussex publicly aired his grievances against the royal family, first during his Oprah interview and later in his 2023 memoir, “Spare.”
William was reportedly deeply hurt by Harry’s betrayal and has remained unwilling to repair their fractured relationship. However, the brothers’ paternal aunt reportedly wants them to put their differences aside and make peace once again.

Princess Anne reportedly believes that the feud between Prince William and Prince Harry needs to end. A source told the National Examiner that she wants to restore peace within the royal family. She is also reportedly prepared to sit the brothers down and help resolve their differences in an effort to bring back harmony.
According to the source, Anne believes everyone involved shares some responsibility for the ongoing rift. Whatever happened, it wasn’t solely the fault of Harry and Meghan Markle or William and Kate Middleton. The source added, “In her view, they all need to be brought into line and told that this nonsense has gone on far too long.”
For the unversed, Harry met his father, King Charles, on July 10 at Highgrove House. The meeting marked a very first step toward reconciliation between father and son. As per the report, Middleton tried to convince William to meet with his brother and make peace with him, but he was reportedly very stubborn and refused to have any contact with Harry.
According to the source, the 76-year-old believes that this immaturity is “unacceptable.” She feels that instead of two grown men fighting over little things, they should be “treasuring every moment” with their father. The fact that they continue to fight instead of reconciling is reportedly “appalling” to her.
The source added that Anne has been trying to convince William to fix things with Harry. “By all accounts, Harry has been a lot more open to fixing things, so in some ways she’s actually happier with his attitude at this point, though she’s in no way letting him off the hook,” the source concluded.
