Forget the usual celebrity dates and glamorous companions. As covered by Bazaar, Elordi arrived at the premiere with a Belgian Malinois who looked completely ready for his close-up. Rak Jasper is one of three trained dogs featured in the movie, and judging by his red-carpet appearance, he already knows how to handle the spotlight.
The Oscar-nominated actor kept his own look classic for the occasion. On the red carpet, Elordi wore a navy pinstripe double-breasted suit over a crisp white shirt and dark-blue tie. He finished the outfit with black patent-leather loafers and added a couple of small silver hoop earrings for a little extra edge, keeping his now-famous mullet and mustache intact.
Bringing Jasper along was more than just a cute red-carpet move. The dog has an important connection to The Dog Stars, which stars Elordi alongside Margaret Qualley and is based on Peter Heller’s 2012 novel of the same name. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world after an influenza outbreak wipes out most of the human population.
The film follows two men who are among the few survivors left. They live at an abandoned airport and spend their days trying to survive in a world that has been dramatically changed. Their only four-legged companion is an aging dog named Jasper.
So, Elordi showing up with Rak Jasper at the premiere was basically a little nod to the movie’s story. It also made for a red-carpet pairing that’s hard to beat.
