Salley Carson says Bravo’s male stars get more grace for dating than she does
The Bachelor alum recently appeared on SiriusXM’s Reality Checked with Kiki Monique, where Salley Carson opened up about her mystery man. She also discussed the double standard she believes women and men on Southern Charm face when it comes to dating.
The conversation began when Kiki Monique said the men on Southern Charm are the “biggest hoes,” a point Carson agreed with. The host then asked whether Carson faces a double standard when similar criticism is directed at her. Carson responded with a “thousand percent” yes.
Salley said, “Yeah, thousand percent. I mean, people are out there calling me like Bravo’s mattress.”
Salley Carson went on to say, “Yeah. And bicycle. I’m like, guys, the only difference between me and like these other girls, and I’m not speaking for all the girls, but I just tell y’all what I’m doing. And you know, some of these girls are doing the same thing I am. They’re just not talking about it, and they’re not as open about it.”
“And you know, maybe there’s, you know, I shouldn’t be as open,” Salley concluded
During the conversation, the TV personality also opened up about her new date, whom she has labeled her “mystery man,” making it clear that he is definitely not Kyle Cooke.
Salley Carson revealed that her family knows the tattooed man well and described him as a good, caring person. However, she clarified that the two are not officially in a relationship yet. While he wants to take things further, Carson said she does not want to be with anyone at the moment and prefers to keep things private for now.
