Harry and Meghan are expected to spend an extended period in Britain with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. However, according to an insider, Harry does not expect Camilla to welcome the move without reservations.
“There’s a lot of hostility between them that’s running just below the surface,” the source claimed to the National Examiner. “Just because she was courteous and made nice the last time Harry was there doesn’t mean the bad blood has gone away.”
The comments come after Harry and Meghan privately met Charles and Camilla at Highgrove House in July. It was the first time in four years that Harry, Meghan, and their two children had met the King and Queen together in the same place.
The meeting suggested that Harry’s relationship with his father may have improved, but the source claimed it did not end the tension between Harry and his stepmother.
Harry’s relationship with Camilla has remained particularly difficult since the publication of “Spare” in 2023. In the memoir, Harry made several critical comments about his stepmother and described her in deeply unflattering terms. The source now claims Camilla remains upset about those remarks.
“She’s still deeply resentful over what he said in Spare,” the insider alleged. “By all accounts, there’s been no apology from Harry. And there’s not likely to be any apology because Harry is still just as resentful of Camilla.”
The source also claimed that Harry believes Camilla could influence things behind the scenes as he tries to rebuild his relationship with Charles. “He suspects she’s still stirring up trouble behind the scenes, particularly with the press and inside the palace,” the source alleged.
