Sources attached to Radar Online revealed that Queen Camilla thinks she has beaten Kate Middleton in popularity. During her recent diplomatic visit to the U.S., photographs showed Camilla sharing a hearty laugh with the American president Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at the White House.
The queen also spent time with ex-Vogue editor Anna Wintour and Sex and the City alum Sarah Jessica Parker at the New York Public Library. Camilla now believes that she has overtaken the Princess of Wales in terms of favorable public perception.
One royal source told the outlet: “Camilla returned from America with a renewed sense of confidence about her standing, both within the monarchy and with the public.”
The insider explained that Camilla was well-versed in the favorable public opinion Middleton has garnered over the years. Not only is her daughter-in-law a hugely popular royal, but she can “overshadow” almost everyone in the family. “But the reception Camilla received in the US has changed her outlook considerably,” the source added.
