For one of the editorial’s standout looks, Gigi Hadid wore a Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello midi dress that combined a plunging neckline with sheer lace detailing. The deep neckline dipped toward her midriff, with delicate beige lace framing her chest before continuing in a wide, see-through panel all the way down the front.
The dress contrasted that lingerie-inspired lace with glossy teal fabric sculpted closely around Hadid’s figure. Thin straps completed the barely-there upper half, while a slim black leather Saint Laurent belt cinched her waist. Its rectangular gold buckle coordinated with the statement jewelry used throughout the look.
Hadid wore an ornate gold-plated brass Saint Laurent necklace positioned high around her neck. She added Chaumet Arôme de Café earrings crafted in white gold and set with round sapphires and brilliant-cut diamonds. The model’s beauty look kept the drama going. Her hair was slicked tightly away from her face, while bleached-looking brows and minimal eye makeup placed the focus on a vivid red lip.
Beyond the fashion, Hadid looked back on her beginnings in her accompanying Vogue France interview. She recalled buying herself a pair of Christian Louboutin heels for castings once she began earning enough money, describing them as her first truly beautiful pair of heels.
Hadid also credited her upbringing with shaping her values, noting that she had a childhood removed from the celebrity world she later entered. And before modeling completely took over, she briefly studied criminal psychology.
