Meghan Markle Hit With Brutal Warning Over As Ever’s UK Push — Expert

Meghan Markle was warned that As Ever could face a rough UK test after one expert dismissed it as “below-average overpriced tat.” The Duchess of Sussex was reportedly expected to rework her California lifestyle brand for British shoppers.

However, celebrity chef and entrepreneur Jameson Stocks questioned whether her royal-adjacent profile would move products. The warning framed As Ever’s possible UK push as a retail risk rather than a guaranteed comeback.

Meghan Markle reportedly faces doubts over As Ever’s UK retail appeal

As per an Express report, Jameson Stocks questioned Meghan Markle’s UK brand appeal. The report said the Duchess may bring As Ever “across the Atlantic.” Stocks said he would not be surprised if London department stores had signed deals.

However, he described the products as “below-average overpriced tat.” The outlet framed the comment as a sharp verdict on Meghan’s post-royal business identity.

Meanwhile, Express said that As Ever had been built around Meghan’s Montecito lifestyle. The brand mixed food, entertainment, and an aspirational home image. Its products included preserves, honey, teas, and flower sprinkles.

The report said a UK move could give the former working royal “an entirely new playground.” It also pointed to country-house living, afternoon tea, British produce, and English imagery as possible branding routes.

However, Stocks was not convinced British shoppers would buy the pitch. He said, “I have no doubt that she will pivot her brand.” He also predicted Meghan Markle would “launch something in the UK.” Then, he asked whether there were “enough mugs in the UK to buy it.”

Stocks also said rebuilding bridges with the royal family would take “considerable time.” He added that a return driven only by “commercial value” would be “despicable.”

Still, the harshest warning centered on Meghan’s wider commercial record. Stocks claimed her celebrity status was “not as influential in America” as she believed. He added that British shoppers were “not stupid.”

Express said he also criticized the couple’s past entertainment deals. Stocks called their paid projects “embarrassing” and described the UK return as a bid for “handouts.” For Meghan Markle and As Ever, the expert framed the UK as a tougher retail market than a royal shortcut.
