The Duke of Sussex and the former “Suits” actress were said to be exploring British TV options during their extended UK stay. The reported plan followed mixed results from their American media deals. It also placed the BBC, commercial networks, and flexible factual programming at the center of their next content push.

As per a RadarOnline report, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were exploring British broadcasters. A senior TV industry source said Britain opened “an entirely different marketplace.” The insider claimed there were “conversations to be had” with major UK networks. Those talks could cover documentaries, factual programming, and projects where their names still “command significant attention.”
Meanwhile, the source named the BBC as a key target. The insider claimed Meghan and Harry were “especially eyeing the BBC” for “a new cash flow.” The report said the couple would retain their $29 million Montecito home. However, they were expected to spend an extended period in Britain with Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5. The move came six years after they left royal duties for California.
However, RadarOnline said their entertainment record had become uneven. Their reported $100 million Netflix deal produced “Harry & Meghan,” “Heart of Invictus,” and “Polo.” Still, “Pearl” and “Meet Me at the Lake” never reached audiences. Their reported $20 million Spotify deal ended in 2023 after Meghan Markle’s “Archetypes” ran for 12 episodes. Spotify executive Bill Simmons later called them “grifters.”
Still, another industry source said British TV could offer more flexibility. The insider said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would not need “another enormous exclusive streaming contract.” Individual projects could let them earn while controlling “what they make” and where it appears.
Another source said Harry had “an extraordinary personal story.” They added Meghan had “years of television experience.” For the BBC and other UK broadcasters, the question was finding formats beyond another royal family examination.
