Kai Trump shared her gratitude for having her mom, Vanessa Trump, by her side during the transition. In a video she shared on Instagram, the young golfer mentioned that she and her mom spent “HOURS” getting everything she needed for her apartment and preparing for her “new chapter of college life.”
She also thanked Vanessa for being there, calling her “the BEST mom.” In the video, Kai gave a closer look at their shopping trip. The outing covered everything from household essentials to an unexpected issue with her furniture delivery.
Vanessa mentioned that she was already exhausted from going back and forth to her apartment and moving her belongings. “Well, I kind of messed up the furniture delivery, so she went and drove to Miami yesterday,” Kai explained, while her mother provided context, saying it was “to wait for three deliveries.” “They sent it back,” Kai added, while Vanessa recalled, “It was during rush hour too, so it was fun times.”
The mother and daughter duo then focused on the essentials for the apartment. Their list included kitchen and bathroom items, toiletries, bedding, and cleaning supplies. Vanessa pointed out that her daughter already had enough clothes, joking, “She’s going to open up a clothing store with all the clothes she has.”
Following that, Vanessa reminded Kai that she alone would be responsible for the cleaning. The influencer then teased about how she would ask her mother for help in case of a messy bathroom. To this, Vanessa replied, “She is going to learn how to do that, or else it’ll just stay a mess.”
With college just ahead, Kai is getting a first look at what it means to manage a place of her own. For now, Vanessa is making sure her daughter has everything she needs for the next chapter.
