Liev Schreiber’s Team Give Huge Update After Hospitalization and Health Scare

Liev Schreiber seems to be doing much better after a frightening moment last weekend.

The Ray Donovan star had to be taken to the hospital in New York City on Sunday after suffering a massive headache. He went as instructed after alerting his doctor about how he was feeling. He stayed overnight in the hospital.

Liev is currently working on the animated action series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, voicing the role of Sam Fisher. By all accounts his condition has improved tremendously since the health scare.

To the relief of fans and those working on his current show, Liev appears to be in much better shape.

Following his headache, the hospital ran a series of battery tests on him, according to TMZ. While it’s not certain what exactly caused the pain, the doctor and staff are satisfied that the actor is not in danger health-wise. It’s understood that he can speak and walk without any problems and that he has full use of his limbs. As a result, TMZ says that “he has been cleared to return to work.”

This is not the first time that he has suffered a medical issue like this. In 2024, while performing in the Broadway production Doubt, he recalled suffering a migraine in his dressing room. It seemed to be a moment of temporary amnesia as he said he couldn’t recognize his co-star, Amy Ryan. He says, uncharacteristically, that he forgot nearly all of his lines on stage that night. An MRI, though, revealed no issues with doctors saying his brain looked perfectly fine.

Liev’s daughter Kai was spotted last month with a mystery man while walking the streets of New York City. Her dad’s health scare last year may stem from transient global amnesia, which can cause individuals to temporarily suffer memory loss, with migraines considered its primary trigger.

There are no long-term effects of his condition, which is most common in middle-aged men like Liev, who is 58.
