Jason Kelce praises Travis Kelce for his ‘huge accomplishment’
In Episode 165 of Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, the Kelce brothers talked about the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2025 NFL run. “Somehow you guys are better, but you’re sitting at five and five,” Jason said about his brother’s team as they discussed the Chiefs’ recent heartbreaking loss to the Broncos. Soon, transitioning to a more positive subject, Jason mentioned his brother’s new NFL record, set during the game on Sunday.
“And well, there was one good thing that happened in the game, which is the ‘Big Yeti’ set a record for the most touchdowns in organization history,” Jason exclaimed. Furthermore, commending Travis for his record-breaking achievement, Jason added, “I know you always like to downplay this stuff. Trav, this is a huge accomplishment and a testament to the career you’ve had in Kansas City, and I don’t want to hear you downplay this one bit.”
He continued to praise Travis’ hardwork and efforts put into wanting to see his team do well, saying Travis is now “the one guy at the top of that organization for an entire career, in multiple categories.” Travis then went on to thank Jason, saying, “Thank you big guy.” Further mentioning that things are a bit sour because of the Chiefs’ fifth loss of the season, Travis said, “But I got so much respect for the organization. So much respect for the guys that have paved the way. Not only in the Chiefs organization but in the National Football League.”
Travis went on to give a shout-out to Priest Holmes, the former NFL running back whose record Travis recently broke. He also spoke of former NFL tight end Tony Gonzalez, sharing that he still feels like he is trying to fill his shoes.
