Noah Cyrus says that she and her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, share something a little spooky. Both of them have had experiences they describe as seeing spirits. The singer recently opened up about childhood visions and a family story that inspired music. Along with this, Billy Ray Cyrus’ daughter also explained a frightening medical scare she survived as a teen.
Billy Ray Cyrus and his daughter can see the undead
Noah Cyrus revealed that she has always been “very intuitive.” She said that as a child, she would regularly spot figures around the family home. The singer revealed, “I’m very intuitive. I used to see things as a kid all the time… one of those freaky kids. I was like (actor) Haley Joel Osment – I see dead people. Like, that’s so me. I think that was totally me as a kid. I remember seeing this one man a lot in our home in Nashville as a little girl, this older man who was like in a nightgown. And what’s interesting is I’ve told this to a couple of people, and they were like,’ I saw that too as a kid…like different area.” (via Daily Star)
Her account did not stop at childhood sightings. She revealed how her father also had his own strange moments. They had even inspired some of his lyrics. Billy Ray Cyrus’ daughter expressed, “And then my dad’s very intuitive. (Song)The Man in the Field is actually inspired by a poem my dad wrote called The Man By the Fire.”
Adding, she said, “He was standing by this bonfire he built, and he swore that he saw a man, a soldier longing, looking in the field, and he had a lantern in his hand, like an old Civil War, like lantern or like soldier walking through the field. And he wrote a poem about it. And so I kind of took that poem and made my own story out of it. That poem is actually on the back of an album of his.”
Noah revealed that after going through a tonsillectomy in 2017, a breathing tube slipped and punctured her lung. She was kept alive by an oxygen machine while the surgery took place to fix it.
