Craig Conover seems to have taken his split with Paige DeSorbo in a positive light, months after the Bravo couple ended their relationship.
The Southern Charm actor revealed how the breakup has taught him deep lessons in personal growth. He also mentioned that the experience was an eye-opener on how fans project their own lives in a celebrity dispute
Craig discusses how he has adjusted following his breakup with Paige
Craig appeared on the Good Guys podcast and reflected on his relationship with DeSorbo. He revealed how the fan’s intense attachment to the split was “an interesting study in human behavior and social science.”
He explained that the fans strongly related to him and DeSorbo. Additionally, they projected their own past relationships on theirs, seeking validation. “I think what people wanted to connect with more… was trying to place their own experiences and almost get validation through that,” he said.
Conover and DeSorbo started dating in 2021 after meeting in the Bravo universe. The reality TV couple maintained a long-distance relationship, which was documented on Southern Charm and Summer House. DeSorbo declared the breakup on her Giggly Squad podcast, revealing that the couple had grown in different directions.
Reflecting on the relationship, Conover said, “The breakup itself… was such a crazy, awesome chapter,” adding, “It was a beautiful illustration of people leveling up.”
Despite all the positives, Conover was not fully prepared for one highlight. “I think what was weird about having a public breakup is people try to capitalize off of that,” he said. He recalled that a group of people across the Bravo universe take celebrity scandals and make it about themselves.
Since their split, both stars have moved on. Conover has been linked to model Natalie Buffett, while DeSorbo is now dating sports marketing executive Joe D’Amelio.
